Helloooo,
Another day and the weekend is almost over.  I couldn't decide what to show you next.  A card I have made a mess of or a Father's Day card and because Father's Day is just around the corner, I thought I better show you this one!  I cased this from Gretchen Barron and it was so easy to make.  A really cool card for Dad.
My first one and then I used the reverse side of the dsp.  Sorry I am using retired stock but I didn't have anything appropriate to use for a shirt front!

How cool is this card.  I'll just jot down a few quick instructions:

           Kraft 5 5/8" x 3 7/8" embossed using big shot

           Dsp  2 1/2" x 3 1/4" for shirt  and  1" x 3" for collar
Early espresso or very vanilla for tie, just cut out what I thought a tie would look like.
Stamp set:  Teeny tiny sentiments
Ink:  Early espresso
Acc:  brads
Tools:  Big shot, lattice embossing folder but hounds tooth would be great.
have a lovely day for the rest of it......

Card of Circles

Hi,
Another case of another favourite blog, I tried to put all my favourites on the side but it actually puts all the details and not just the name so the list would be too long.  So now you get to see who I visit regularly, and today it is dawn from Dawns Stamping Studio.  I just tried to do a link but it wouldn't let me, the first time that has happened but the computer is a bit funny tonight.  A lot of sites I have visited have all changed so I don't know what is going on!!!!  Anyway here is yet another card:

Something different, especially for me, the more I see it, the more I like it.  I might have to try it in the other in-colours!  I'll have to see.  I try and do the two cards a little different all the time, yes I have made two cards for all the cases.  Actually when the new catalogue is available we will have to do the same and have lots of cases as there are so many beautiful projects in there.  So on to instructions.  Yes I am doing instructions on all the cards, when I make them myself I don't take any notice of what I do but when I am casing I tend to write what I am doing!  Go Figure????
Very vanilla  A5 folded in half.  Will need strip as well 1 1/4" x 5 1/4" scalloped.  1", 1 1/4" scallop circle and 1 3/8" circles in very vanilla
Calypso coral  5 5/8" x 3 7/8" put through big shot with embossing folder of choice - I used square lattice (after the circles are adhered)   Also a strip 1/2" x 5 1/4"
Stamp set:  Pocket silhouette
Ink:  Chocolate chip
how easy was this card, just lots of punching, so much fun...
have a lovely evening....
ps.  just looked at how much writing I have done, very unusual for me!

Surprise, Surprise, I have a Card for you

Hi there
Guess what, I have been busy the last couple of afternoons making cards, I thought you might like to see a couple of cards instead of all my 3D, but don't worry, it won't last long.  I love my 3D.  So anyway I have loved this card for ages and every time I see it I think about casing (well, not really, I just love this card so much and I was having a bit of a down day and got on the net.  And of course the first thing I see is this card).  So it is using the new in-colours, which I have been using and have pleasantly surprised myself with how much I love the colours.  I brought the package of papers and ink pads so everything just goes without too much thought.
So.............

Two slightly different versions, and that is what I have done with all the cards I have been casing ( yes I decided to case some of my favourite blogs) and this one is cased from Madeline, over at Stamping studio.  I just love the whole look of the card, colours and everything.
Stamp set:  Pocket silhouette
Ink:  Chocolate chip and pool party and lucky limeade
Card:  Chocolate chip, pool party, lucky limeade and very vanilla
Acc:  ribbon
Tools:  Curly label punch and crop-a-dial.
A few quick dimensions for you
Chocolate chip    A5 folded in half
                            31/2" x 21/2"  Matting in the middle
Pool party            55/8" x 37/8" first mat
Lucky limeade     53/8" x 35/8" next mat
Very vanilla         31/4" x 21/4"  stamp image on.
Have a lovely evening.....

Card in a Box

Hi everyone,
We made a gorgeous (I know everything is gorgeous or cute!!!, but they are) box over at Crafter's Anonymous, don't worry one more thing that I still have to finish and then I am up to date on the Monday nights!!!
So anyway, we made this box that opens up and a long sheet of card comes out that you can write on or just illustrate, up to you.  And the best part is, you can add a little gift on top of it like chocolate or something else!!  I made two as I thought I had destroyed one and that is the beauty of craft, you never really have!!  See if you know what I mean....

My first one, keeping in with the browns and blues, love those colours...  And one of my all time favourite stamp sets - Baroque motifs

And my second one, keeping up with the kids though my front looks like a clown when you look at it from a distance!  Love the bugs and kisses stamp set so I had to use it.  I need to go through my sets of stamps and see what we aren't using anymore, they are all my favourites so I am putting it off.  I don't want to put them away for use later and I definitely can't sell them.  Love my stamp sets.
have a lovely day for the rest of it.....

Monday Night Again!!

Hello,
How quickly does the week fly?  Far too quickly for me at the moment!  I have another 3d item we made at Crafter's Anonymous, finally getting them made up.  I will get around to making some cards, have my new in-colour card so I can't wait.

A gorgeous bag we made with Tia, my sister even liked it! One up for Tia.  We had a template to use for the actual bag.
Card:  Pretty in pink, pink pirouette, blushing bride and whisper white
Acc:  Brad and pretty in pink ribbon and brads
Tools:  Big shot, elegant lines folder and crop-a-dial
have a lovely night.......

I am using BFF's favourite colour (over at Crafter's - Angie) concord crush and I have also used cake crumb which is becoming a favourite.

Very sweet box with lots to add.  Just a couple of different pictures showing you the box open.

The Cutest Cards I Have Seen In A While

Evening,
I thought I better make a card, seeing it has been a long time and I probably need more in my stash anyway.  I didn't put a sentiment on them as I couldn't decide what I want them for, so that is why they are a little blank.  I was blog hoping and ended up on you tube and I saw these cards made by Linda Heller.
This is one with one of my all time favourite christmas dsp's (obviously retired - I just thought I should start to use up some of these beautiful papers, I am getting harder and not thinking so much about how much I love them)
The next card is the reverse side of the dsp.  the middle picture is taken from the new stamp set 'buttons' with some sweet little animals etc but I don't yet own that set so I have improvised!

I was trying to take a couple of photos of each card to show you the little overlap of the very vanilla but they didn't come out so well, sorry about that, this card is so easy to make and I think it is super cute.
Card:  craft  3 1/2" x 9"  scored at 5".
           dsp (retired)  3 1/2" x 4"  adhered to the 4" side
very vanilla  3 1/2" x 4 1/8"  adhered on the inside of the card (just has a little overhang that shows)
           pumpkin pie  scallop circle
           chocolate chip   1 3/8" circle
very vanilla  1 1/4"  circle stamped on and button added
old olive  1 3/4" circle cut in half and adhered to opposite ends of the card
Ink:  Chocolate chip and old olive
Acc:  Button and twine, glue dots and dimensionals
Tools:  Corner rounder punch, 1 3/4" circle, 1 3/8" circle, 1 1/4" circle scallop circle punch
have fun if you're making the card and have a lovely night....

I'm Backkkkkk

Hi,
I have to say it has been hard to try and post this week but I'm backkkkk and hopefully I get a few things made over the next couple of days.
It was my birthday yesterday and it was very nice but especially getting this gorgeous present from my bestie at Crafters Anonymous.  Angie cracks me up all the time, even when I read her e-mails I invariably end up with a smile on my face, if I'm not laughing.  I can't wait to catch up with her at Regionals, best part about making friends on line is eventually being able to meet them.  Though we did swap last year, just didn't know each other then!!!!
So here is my gorgeous present;
I have lots of photos to show you as the tin opens out to a telephone directory and I definitely need one of those.
the beautiful card, I have yet to make one like this, how cool is it!
obviously the front of the tin, just wanted to give you a close up

I am so lucky and loving it.
Have a great day and I promise to post a project this afternoon......

Boxes, boxes and more boxes

Morning,
As you may have realised by now I love my 3d and I am going through a box faze at the moment.  Well I found this cute box on you tube with Holly Stampin Mania and thought it was ohhhh so cute.
Now with the ribbon, I put tape on the back of the desired amount and scrunched a little (as you can see from the photo) and then stuck it down.
Sorry this photo is a little blurry but I wanted you to see the side.  It is quite a decent size and can fit quite a bit in.  Holly copied a cream cheese box, so that is the basic size.
Instructions:
8 1/2" x 8 3/4" card    scored (8 1/2")  3/4", 2", 6 1/2" and 7 3/4"
                                   scored (8 3/4")  1 1/4", 5 1/4" and 8"
make into box to look the same as above
4 1/4" x 2 1/2"  dsp
4 1/4" x 1"  (by 2)  dsp
2 1/2" x 1"  (by 2)  dsp
and decorate
have a lovely day.......

A Boy Box of Cards

Hi all,
Another night of study, hopefully, I am learning something and it is not all going in and then straight out again.  I have made another box like the one on Saturday but this time I wanted to see if I could just use A4 instead of 12 x 12 and guess what, you can and you don't even have to punch a hole to open the box easier.  You'll see what I mean,

See what I mean, it has left a nice little gap and I actually like it, I like it a lot!!  I could make a hundred of these they were so easy to make.  So give the box a try, so easy.
Stamp set:  Word play (my new all time favourite set and great for scrapbooking - if I was doing it)
Card:  Tempting turquoise, whisper white and dsp - Celebration
Ink:  Tempting turquoise
Acc:  No, there is none, love how the dsp looks like ribbon, don't you!
Tools:  No, no punches today, only cutting.....
Okay, I'm off to bed, have a great one.....

Monday, August 8, 2011

Hi everyone,
Still on my roll, though I might have trouble getting out of bed in the morning!!!  Okay, here is a cute 3" x 3" box, so sweet.  I should have embossed or run a wheel over the box but I made it without thinking.

So here are the instructions,
6" x 9" card  scored  -  1/2", 1 1/2", 41/2" and 5 1/2"
                     scored  -  1", 4", 5" and 8".
Oh, just as I have written those instructions I realised I should have taken a picture of the pieces I had to cut out.  Hopefully you can see from the opened box the side that you have to take off.  If you have any problems, please e-mail me and I will make sure I send you pictures and proper instructions.
Stamp set:  Great friend
Card:  Pumpkin pie and whisper white
Ink:  Pumpkin pie and chocolate chip
Acc:  Ribbon (retired)
Have a great night/day....

Black and Colour Cards to go in the Box

Helloooooo,
I'm back, third day running.  I'll have to see if I can keep it up, if I'm away it is only because of study so please excuse me.  The cards I have to show you I first saw on Angie's blog (on the right hand side) and she had used the in-colours with the butterfly die which were stunning, loved them so much I tried them out with the scallop circle punches but keeping a pink theme to go with the box.  They are plain but enough said!

I also embossed these with elegant lines as they weren't doing anything for me when they were just plain.  I have taken a close up of this salutation as you can't really see it on the card.

I just love this black look.  I did mat with white on the inside and used a corner punch for something different (for me anyway), sorry I forgot to take a picture.

So the cards altogether, so loving the colours, the butterflies are stunning and I will be trying those.  Have a lovely day....
