Christmas Album Gifts

Hi all,
Yes I know, silly season started early for me and I have now lost my energy to do anything, not lost my mojo just energy.  But I did stay up the other night making this album so I would have something to post.
I made three different albums, 1 is full size and the other two are half size as I cut the wrong way and couldn't make it work unless I made them with less pages, which is what I have done and think they will make a lovely present anyway.  I have seen these on a lot of the American blogs, as they made this book on their incentive cruise.  This one I got from Lynn Pratt off her blog Stamp-n-Design.
Take a 12" x 12" and score at 2", 6" and 10", turn and
                                   score at 3 ", 6" and 9".
When you are holding your 12" x 12" make sure the two small squares are at top and bottom and cut through the middle of the page (from the right side) to the last score line - you are cutting in between the rectangle boxes (which are all int he middle of the page).  I actually cut the other way which is why I had to cut the pieces apart and make two small books.
Fold up the 2" sections all the way across, these are the pockets that will hold the pages with writing or photos on.
Fold in half on the center score line and accordion fold the two ends into the middle to make your book.
Tape the back of the two middle pages together.
4" x 4" dsp to cover spine of the book
3 3/4" x 2 1/2" card for the inside pages of the book (8 of them unless you make small ones like me!!)
3 1/2" x 2 1/2" card for the front cover that gets attached to the belly band.
Now decorate - if you need a tutorial, just let me know.

The normal size book with all the pages

And the two half books - love them, love them, love them.  I love mini albums, I just need to get back into making them and taking photos!
Stamp set:  Winter post/ Seasons of joy
Card:  Very vanilla, handsome hunter (retired), chocolate ship, riding hood red, pink pirouette and dsp - letters to Santa
Ink:  Chocolate chip, marina mist, early espresso
Acc:  Pearls, I wanted to add the mist but I can't find where I put it!!!
Oh I forgot to mention the belly bands
1" x 8 1/2" dsp or card wrapped around.
thanks for dropping by.......

Soap Box For Christmas

Hello,
What a day!  Oh I can't wait for the holidays.  So now on to my box that I made for the soaps for my friend.

I kept them pretty plain as I was leaving them open to male or female.  I am going to have to do a tutorial for these boxes as I will find it hard to explain where to cut the card.  My friend bought these soaps from Mitre 10, so I went there and got a few myself for presents.
The card is 6 3/4" x 6 3/4"  scored at 1/2", 1 5/8", 5 1/8", 61/4"
                                                            1 1/8", 3 1/8", 4 1/4" and 6 1/4"
but like I said I will do a tutorial as I forgot to show you the inside of the box and the soap!!!!!!!!  End of the year, oh my, what am I going to be like in a couple of weeks time!!!!!!!!!  Hopefully more refreshed.
Thanks for stopping by and have a lovely evening.......

Cute Soap Belly Bands

Evening all,
I know, I know, I say I'm going to be good and look what happens!  I don't post for..... don't know how long!  Almost finished my course so it should be all good then.  A friend asked me to make some boxes for some special cakes of soap she has, for Christmas presents.  Well that was a few weeks ago and I finally got around to doing that tonight, better late than never, right!!!  Well here are the cakes of soap with belly bands around them.  I will show you the boxes, I am so proud of tomorrow night.
I used the dsp from the catalogue paisley petals and a bit of cardstock.  I wrapped the paper around the soap and adhered it together and then made my flowers out of the scallop punch with a boho blossom in the middle and a gold brad.
Now just wait till you see my boxes!
thanks for stopping by and have a lovely evening....

Angel Baby

Hi all,
I haven't been on lately as study has been getting in the way again.  Don't worry, very soon I won't be talking about it at all, I finish at the end of next week, so exciting!!!  Anyway I had a couple of friends over tonight to make a few cards with them.  I am going to start holding a few classes and see how we go.  This is one of the cards we did:
How cute is this angel?  I have seen quite a few and think they are absolutely adorable.  Love what I am seeing for Christmas.
Just a quick post tonight and I will try and get some craft done over the weekend, I need a good day of stamping!!!

Mrs Santa on a Box

Hello,
I did promise a tutorial and I am finally getting around to doing that for you.  First the box.  Love, love this box.  This is the same as the Halloween one, I just thought I would give you a tutorial so it is easier to make. This is cased from the  talent: Big Ideas From A Little Girl.  love her blog.
Isn't she just the cutest.  I made this box with quick instructions on the 29th September, 2011
Old olive Card:  81/2" x 6"  scored  1", 4", 5" and 8"
                                     then score     1/2", 1 1/2", 4 1/2" and 5 1/2"
Whisper white:  run through the big shot with dot to dot embossing folder for 3 pieces 2 6/8" x 3 1/4" leaving one free to stamp sentiment on
Dsp - letters to Santa:  2 1/2" x 3"
Fold on score lines
Make box by cutting on corner score lines and adhering.  As you can see below I made the wrong size (pumpkin pie) and had to re-do the box (good excuse to make another at a different size).  It is that easy to make a mistake when you lose concentration.  Just had to show you, don't want you to think I am perfect, lol. hehehehe
Taking your lid, put a piece of adhesive on skinny strip.  Line up the end with the adhesive to the score line and stick together, this gives you the flap at the top as well
Here is a picture with the draw inside making a box.  Sponge the whisper white and stamp a sentiment on the plain white to make your card.

Adhere all the pieces on to the box
This is the lid ready for decoration,
I have put gorgeous punch art Mrs Clause on there and will give you directions tomorrow as I can't seem to find where I put them!!
Thanks for stopping by......

Gift Chocolate Boxes

Evening all,
Well, I think we have had enough of Regionals.  I was going to show you my favourite pics but it has been a whole week and I don't know if you have had enough!!  You can let me know if you would like to see the favourites otherwise I will keep moving on!!  These are boxes I was going to try and make for Regionals but ended up going with the little bags.  I cased these from paynete who has quite a few clips on u-tube.

Want to make something quick and easy, this is a good one, maybe great for Christmas.  Sorry about using the retired dsp but I was just trying to use them up and they are all my favourites so I couldn't give them away.  Now on to the instructions which are super easy:
Card (chocolate chip)  7 1/4" x 3 1/2"  scored at 3 1/2", 4", 6 1/4" and 6 3/4".  fold on all score lines.  You can add a sentiment at the top now if you like (I didn't).  Put sticky strip on the very end fold, then using small oval punch, punch a hole to one side inbetween the two score lines, you may want to cut a little more, depending on how big your chocolate is.  Adhere the small fold down and there is your box.  Now decorate till your hearts content.
thanks for stopping by....

Sonja's gifts

Hi everyone,
Well I am finally getting to the end of my Regional photos.  Next I have something sweet from Sonja, my room buddy.  So much fun, and we even got in some exercise with all the walking we did looking for 3" x 3" envelopes.  I am sure Stampin' Up are the only ones that supply them here in Australia.  I tell you!!
A purse with a surprise in there and a note book with acetate on the front for protection.  And how cute are the charms!!!
Sonja bound and made the books herself - keen to that myself but there is just so many things I want to do, just need more time!
The inside of Sonja's purse with a post-it-note and tags.
Hope you all have a lovely weekend.......

Good evening,
Well I can really say, morning, as it is after twelve and I am still up. But I couldn't go to bed without showing you what the day had in store for us.  Then I just have to show you Sonja's gifts to me and my favourite swaps from Regionals.  Hope you haven't had enough yet, but don't worry, next week will be all about other things like Christmas!!!!
Love how the in-colours were all set out....
Demonstrated cards etc mainly from Sophie.....

Sophie did all the material items as well, how gorgeous do they look.....
Now on to the swaps from everyone, don't think they were all up there.......

And this is my favourite card.  Claire showed us this one and I absolutely love it.  Will look at trying to make this but you do need ink refills and I have yet to purchase some.  I even love these colours heaps.
