Christmas Eve And All Is Quiet....Or Is It??

No.... it is definately not quiet at my house, can't wait for later tonight when it is though, until the morning when it will be squeals of delight (or so I hope)...
Just showing you another card I received from a dear friend of mine, Tracey.  I think I have just come up with a New Years Resolution - To make Christmas cards to send out to friends next year.... I am so slack, I haven't done it for years, and years and years.  Sad isn't it.

Sweet little ornament card isn't it.  I will show you Angie's card tomorrow.
Have a great night and whether Santa is coming to you tonight or tomorrow, enjoy, wishing you lots of smiles and laughter........

Chocolate/Banana Bread Box

Good evening,
One more day and it is Christmas.  I think I will go through withdrawal from not being able to make any more pretty Christmas things :(  So today I am showing you this cute (yes, I know everything is cute, but this is cute) Bread box that I have used as a chocolate box.  I cased from Techno Stamper and she has a great tutorial on her blog.

I probably should have decorated them more but I love this paper so much and think it looks okay just the way it is......
Now for some quick instructions:
Card:  8 1/2" x 11"  score all four sides at 1/2" and 2 3/4"
was just trying to write some quick instructions but I think I will have to do a tutorial for this as it is a little hard to explain about what to cut off so you can fold up the box and have the edges sitting out.  I will do it in the next couple of weeks with instructions!!!
thanks for stopping by and I will put it top of my priority list....

(does that make sense!!!)  So I finally made a Grinch, how cute is he.  Now you do know that the dictionary definition of CUTE is interesting but ugly, hehehe.  Love it.  I cased this from Chris Twing and loved making him/her.
I sent it flat packed so I could get it to her quickly and give her something to make!!!
I know I couldn't resist making another because of another certain friend of mine.  Don't mind him in the purple, looks a little more menacing!!

Chrissie CD Holders

Morning,
I made a couple of presents for a couple of friends (yes, that is all I have...... only joking!!!) and I absolutely love these CD holders.  I will be making heaps more as they are so cute and a great pressie to give someone.
As you can see, my letters haven't popped as much as I wanted them to, I was a little disappointed and will be doing something different next time!

I rounded the corners on this one for something different
And this is the case open, see how cute is that....
I cased this from Claudia Rosa.
Card/DSP  10" x 10"  scored at 2 1/2" and 7 1/2", turn and do the same 2 1/2" and 7 1/2"
Cut out the four corner squares, as above.  Crease the folds and fold in to create the holder.

Santa Block Of Chocolate

Evening,
Oh my, this is the last week before Christmas, I have butterfly's in my stomach just thinking about it.  I love Christmas and the joy of giving, it has to be one of my favourite times of the year.
Today I have made a slider for a block of chocolate to give to friends.  I went back on a past post to get the dimensions for the chocolate and guess what, Cadbury have changed the packaging since then so I made two boxes that wouldn't fit the blocks.  So I had to remeasure, good piece of advice, check before you make.  The best part is just knowing how to do it so you can make it fit the product!!  I can't find the name of the person I cased, so just give me a sec...... I found it on Stampin' Connections which is a demonstrator site, good reason to join up, to see what so many talented people make.... Okay, her name is Karen Southwell and I loved these Santa's as soon as I saw them and just had to make a couple for a friend.  It was all last minute with only half an hour to get them made before running out the door.  Yes, she ate the chocolate that night.
This one is cherry cobbler..

And this one, that looks the same is poppy parade!!  Funny how the camera doesn't really catch the colour sometimes!  Don't worry new camera is still on my wish list!
Close up of Santa's belt.  Everything is punches except the hands, quite pleased with myself, his hands aren't too bad!  Need a crimper for his arms, how cool are they!!
Thanks for stopping by.....

The Reindeer Set Complete!!

Hi All,
Had a bit of a craft day today with a couple of friends but there was too much talking going on and not much work but I am busy at the moment finishing of the couple of items we managed to make.  But on to the rest of the reindeer set.  I made a 2-4-6 box and card to go with it...
Front view using the big shot with top note die, scallop punch, 1" circle for nose, 1/4" for eyes with a little work from the white get pen and the horns (sorry I've forgotten what they are called!!! - ignorance is bliss, or is it!!) I used some scrap card..
Side view showing how the box is pulled together, will be putting velros on, thought I could get away without it but unfortunately I can't....
The greeting with scallop punch, decorative label, lge oval and 5 petal flower punch....
My card that I am a little proud of...
And I just had to show you a close up of my tag I put on the front, I love it, lol....
And the set all together.
Thanks for stopping by....

Reindeers All The Way.......

Evening all,
Like I have said before, I have been trying so hard to get ahead of myself so I can post regularly and then I misplace my instructions!!  But this little book doesn't need any instructions and it is also part of a set.  I got some of these telephone books from Coles and thought they would make a perfect little gift decorated and I managed to put the pen on the front as well so it is always accessible.  Could still get lost!!!!  It doesn't seem to matter how many pens you have, when you are looking for one, you can never find it......

Just a quick post tonight as we have had a big week (already) and it is definately time this little black sheep went to bed.......
have a lovely night......

Christmas Recipe Box

Morning everyone,
Yes I am posting in the morning, how unusual is that!  I have been busy cleaning around our house (chickens have made a real mess and now that they have their pen I will be able to keep everything clean!).  I have also managed to do a little cleaning inside the house and thought I would take some time out to post before I start to clean my office.  Then I have to get down and make a couple of Christmas presents for a couple of close cyber friends (love the friends I have made on the net, bit like pen pals, from the old days hehehe - Ang has me saying hehehe, if that is annoying you - it is all her fault!!)
Anyway on to my box, I cased it from Claudia Rosa but I need to change it a bit because there were a couple of parts that don't work for me....
The snowman actually holds the lid down.  I love this snowman, I have seen him done a lot as a kaleidoscope card.
Pool party card - 8 1/2" x 11"  scored at 2", 5 1/2" and 7 1/2"  (11" side)
                                                 scored at 1 1/2", 3 1/2" and 7"
fold on score lines and cut as per picture
Cut pieces off as per picture
Adhere box together. and cut dsp or I have used whisper white and dry embossed with the big shot and elegant lines.
One piece - 1 1/2" x 3 1/2"
two pieces - 3 1/2" x 3 1/2"
four pieces - 2" x 3 1/2"  adhering these pieces on the sides and lid
I also sponged all the edges and made my little snowman which I will share with you later.
This is showing you the box assembled and the pieces ready to go
All the pieces on and ready to for final decoration.
The snowman was too white on the box so I added the pool party card to show him off more
 Side view
This is the box completed.  As you can see it is not a big box but just the right size for a gift and some special recipes in there.

I made some whisper white cards and then bought some system cards and cut down, sponged and added ribbon to, so they were easy to pull out.  Sorry I forgot to pull them all out so you could see but I intend to write my favourite Christmas sweet, dessert and main for the person I am giving it to.  I thought this could be a good seasonal or birthday present too.
hope you like it.....
ps tomorrow I will show you the rest of the set...

Hot Chocolate Pouch

Hi all,
I have made a really cute chocolate pouch to show you that I cased but not sure if I wrote down the name correctly (you can find out if you want though!!, hehehe), cheeringhername.  This is sweet anyway and you can also put in a candy cane, there is quite a bit of room in there....

So cool hey!  And some very quick instructions, I'm sure you could use no tape, if you wanted, but I used the red tape this time.
Chocolate chip card - 4 1/4" x 11"  scored  5 1/2" and 10"
dsp - letters to Santa  -  4" x 4" and also a strip for the tab above but I didn't write down the dimensions so I will assume they are 2" x 4"
Fold on score lines and adhere together leaving the flap free.  Adhere dsp 4" x 4" and then the flap down on top of dsp.  Add dsp to the flap and ribbon if desired.  Then do your sentiment and you are all done.
Tomorrow I will have another set to show you, thanks for stopping by......

Now My Cupcake Box Is A Set

Hi,
I have been very busy the last couple of days crafting, and it is so nice to be sitting here doing that, though tomorrow it is all about my garden, desperate need of some TLC.  So I made one thing and then decided I need to make more sets, things that go together, I suppose it all has to do with this silly season.  So the cupcake blooper I showed you now is a set, and here is what I made to go with it...
a little 3" x 3" card with the ever so cute reindeer...
some tags for the last minute presents, these I made out of some scrap certainly celery and I think they were 3" x 2", so easy to make and whip up quickly....
and a post-it note holder, and they are so quick and easy too...
And here we have the whole set together which could be a very cute Christmas present!
If you need any of the measurements just let me know.
Stamp set:  Winter post and snow swirled
Card:  Certainly celery, chocolate chip and very vanilla
Ink:  Chocolate chip and certainly celery
Acc:  Pearl basic jewels, string and pen
Tools:  Scallop trim border punch, 1/2" punch and crop-a-dial
thanks for stopping by....
