The Greatest Birthday Kit Yet

Hi to all,
I have been busy crafting but of course I need to blog surf in amongst that, just to keep the mojo happening.  On Stampin' Connection I saw this cute box that I fell in love with and Sabine was kind enough to pass on Miriam's blog to get the indepth tutorial.  You will love this box and I intend to make lots for all those friends who's birthdays I have missed.  And yes there have been quite a few lately.  I think this will well and truely redeem me!!!
Now I have to warn you that this box is full of mistakes and I am even going to point them out to you because they were silly ones that should not be made!!!!!! Ummmmmmm........
Now how gorgeous is this box, it looks like a pizza box doesn't it but the inside will amaze you (well it did to me).  Pinwheels are all in at the moment and I haven't had a chance to make any so this was perfect for my birthday box
My Second mistake, sorry I didn't put them in order.  I cut the 1" circle on the wrong side and lucky for me I don't think it will stand out too much.  But the nexty one will, hehehe, not that I will say it is a mistake, just helping to make it easier to get out the matches and candle, lol
So on the template that Miriam gave I thought this was a cut line (even though I did think it was strange I still cut out the square out, silly, silly me but you know what, it works and all stays in very nicely)
Miriam's gifts all fitted neatly and she also had some great instructions which she will also be putting up on her blog (in english that is).  So I will be putting in the instructions as well and checking out what other size chocolates to use (now that will be the fun part, ummmmm)
You have to make this box (or don't if you're my friend, as you will be bound to get one from me) as it is just so easy and I think everyone will love it.
Stamp set:  Retired stamp set sorry
Card:  Old olive, dsp - sale-a-bration, whisper white and bashful blue
Ink:  Rose red
Acc:  in-colour twine
Tools: Scoring tool, modern label and word window punches
See you tomorrow.....

A Five Minute Dash For A Pressie

Hi all,
I had a girlfriend come and stay a couple of nights ago and I haven't seen her in ages (has to be at least six months) and I wanted to quickly do up a couple of little pillow presents.  I only had ten minutes, and this is what I love about Stampin' Up products.  It is so easy to make something when everything co-ordinates (and it helps that my dining table is full of craft paper, machines etc!!!!!)
So I quickly decorated a notebook, soap and put out a pack of cards (forgot to take a photo of them but it was just half a dozen cards and envelopes with ribbon tied around them).  And here it is........
I used the big shot and label die cuts and the beautiful wings die.  So easy and quick to make.
And here is the notebook with soap.  I could have done so much more with both of these products but was time poor.  I am happy to say she loved it all (even though we know better, lol)   Ummm, maybe I will decorate these things again and see what I can do when I have more time.  My challenge to myself.
Anyway thank you for stopping by....

Swap With Angie

Hello,
I am finally back, yet again and tonight I have my swap with Angie to show you.  So to recap, we had to make something to fit into these plastic cases (that we both loved) and Angie is a pretty special person so I wanted it to be special for her and that took me ages to think about what she would like.  I know she loves purple so that wasn't hard and then I saw this album on a blog (which I promise to give next time, as you probably have guessed..... it is on my table somewhere!!). Found it, stampin inspriations. I really want to make another so I will give you all the details then.  So on to my swap......
So these are the cute zipper cases and I put in two bookmarks and an album
This is the tag on the outside of the case and I used the newspaper print (which I love and don't use enough of)
One bookmark - folded over with a magnet holding it together
Sorry this photo is blurry but it has the newspaper print down the middle - just to be different to the other
On to the album with these cute little flowers I found in a magazine.  Cut a 1" strip of dsp and cut down three quarters strips, place glue on uncut side and start to roll tightly and flatten.  That is the quick easy version
Another semi-blurry photo where photos can be added or journal

And another picture of the finished product.  If you would like instructions just let me know but I will try and get a tutorial done up this week as I would like one for myself in a different colour, ummmm I'll surprise you with the colour.
Have a lovely weekend and I promise to post every day next week.......

Birds On A Card

Hi everyone,
Long time I know, but I am trying to find a system and as yet it hasn't happened!!!!  So on to today (anyway!) and I have some 3" x 3" cards to share with you.  I am loving the 3 x 3 as I can use them as a tag as well.
So here are the cards:
I cased these gorgeous little cards from Rochelle, I stamp I create I have fun, and I so love the design.
Card:  So saffron, Chocolate chip and Whisper white
Tools:  Two step bird punch, pinking hearts border and the stripes embossing folder.
I used the black journaler pen for the birds eye.
Have a lovely evening and tomorrow I show you what I got from my gorgeous friend, Angie.  I can finally mail her swap and then when she receives it, I'll post that too.....
