2nd Blooper

Hi everyone,
Ready for my second blooper!  This is a classic.  I tried three times to get it right and couldn't.  I was on a blog (don't quote me) sweet as a gumdrop, and she had a gorgeous cake box, loved it and thought I would give it a go - little Christmas cake or plum pudding would be just right.  So she said there was a nice easy tutorial on addicted to crafts blog and I went there and yes it all looked very easy.....
My first attempt from my scribble - doesn't look right does it!

My second attempt, at least I got a little further.  The box was too big and the sides didn't close properly.  Don't worry I will decorate and use it for one of my family or friends, lol.
My third attempt, doesn't look too bad, lopsided but not too bad, oh me, oh my.....  I made the inside box a little smaller but I had limited space on my desk and was all squashed up while I did my scoring and I think my fiskars is not really even and I have to watch it carefully, no not on this night!!!!!!  I was all out and my poor box doesn't close properly....
 Piece of card (certainly celery) 9" x 12"  scored (9") 1 1/2", 3", 6" and 7 1/2"
                                                                 scored 1 1/2", 4", 4 1/2", 7 1/2" and 10 1/2"
cut out the extra pieces not needed - as per picture.
As you can see from my certainly celery piece the bravo is completely out.....
Place tape on pieces as marked
Adhere pieces together to make box
Inside box - certainly celery 5" squared scored at 1" all the way around, like I said I made mine smaller at 4 6/8" square but it seemed a bit too small.  Add tape
Use the 1 3/4" circle punch to cut hole in middle of card - as you can see from above photo you do need to fold the lip in, you will cut into some of this but you don't see it as it is in the box.  If you are very efficient with the circle scissors I would use that.

I would normally have made my whole box up but I wanted to show you with the little box inside.
And here is my box where the top is slightly too small, oh me, oh my.....
I used the Snow Swirled stamp set with certainly celery and chocolate chip ink.  I also used the pearls and when I find my shimmer mist I will spray some of that on.
Even though I am making bloopers I hope you are appreciating that I am still keeping the Christmas theme, what a time to do it right???????
have a lovely night....
