Good evening,
I know I have not been very good with my posts lately but I have just started work at this fantastic school and that has kept me busy, and will do until I settle in and know exactly what I am doing. So bare with me for a little bit longer.
Today I made a present for a friend and because I love how it has turned out, I have another two on the go. On page 120 of the Idea Book & Catalogue is a creation of butterflies and cards that I have been wanting to make for ages and now I finally have.....
This so lovely in person, I'm not as happy with it in this picture!
My first butterfly with blushing bride and dot to dot embossing.
Three by three cards with brights dsp (unfortunately I don't have the dsp for the in-colours!)
My lucky limeade perfect polka dots butterfly, love this one.
The card using cord threaded through the fold in the card.
Blue butterfly, lol
I decided to make a plainer card to use for a male.
This is real red as I have run out of poppy parade, but the colour blended in nicely. All the top butterfly's are embossed with elegant lines, stripes, houndstooth and vintage wallpaper
Card to match, with sentiment in the same colour (hasn't shown up in the photo unfortunately).
Peach parfait butterfly with dazzling diamond centre.
My favourite card, so I am showing you twice, from different angles, lol.
The end result. I also added a bag of peanut brittle because I made a small batch this morning.
Thanks for stopping by and have a lovely evening/day.........

Double Sealed Handbag
Good evening,
I am so excited. I made a gorgeous little handbag and card on the weekend (yes I know it is a while ago) and I only just found who I cased it from. I didn't want to put it up here and say I couldn't remember who it was so I went through all my favourites until I found it, so so happy. I love this bag, I think I have made a similar one a long while ago but I love the fact that the inside is almost in a box of its own. I cased this from here where she has a full tutorial and template. Here is my version, which I am really happy with....
Isn't this just the cutest. They would be so adorable as party favors. For the first time, in a long time, I am happy with my 2 1/2" x 3" card. I used sale-a-bration dsp and ribbon.
A side view of the bag where I cut some pieces out of the dsp and glued on.
The back of the bag where I used the crop-a-dial to cut a couple of holes to keep the back flap down. I decided I don't like magnetic or Velcros dots any more. I have quite a few in my cupboard that I will have to use but it won't be any time soon.
A picture of the bag being opened, lol.
How cute are the flaps!
Yes, only room for chocolate and these are one of my favourites.
Lastly my card that I sponged with chocolate chip, using the petite pairs set.
And a quick look at the inside of the card.
thanks for stopping by and have a lovely night.........

I caught up with a few demonstrator friends today for some fun projects and chatting. Love the chatting the most, so much to talk about, lol. So as I said the Chinese takeaway box was enlarged and we made it today so here it is with our other lovely make 'n takes........
My larger box using the sale-a-bration dsp (love that paper)
And the box from last night and today, bit of a difference there hey!! Wait, I am going to see if I can make a bigger one (soon)
Beautiful off the page flowers by Geordie. She is one amazing artist.
And this beautiful card by Julia who is very intimidating. I have never seen a bad card made by her and she makes them look so easy, absolutely gorgeous card
A close up of the middle section of the card.
Thank you for stopping by and I hope you have a lovely night/day........

Side view to show you the lovely blue brads and the folds.

Ink: Chocolate chip and baja breeze smudging
Acc: Twine and brads
Tools: Word window punch, paper piecer and mat and 1 3/4" circle punch

Flowers 3" x 3" Cards
Hi,
Sorry I was going to take a picture of the melting moments and the way I decorated it to show you, but I ran out of time. I have shown similar ones in the past and I'm sure I will have more to show you in the future.
On to tonight and I have cased Chat yet again, I really should stop doing that or I challenge you to see if you can improve on her cards (good luck with that!!). You really have to let me know if you do, I think she is the queen of simplicity and it is not until you case that you realise how much work goes into one of the cards, and how hard it is to make it look half as good, or maybe it is just me!!! Ssssshhhh Angie.
I try and I do like how it has turned out!
I made a group of them to put in a box for a quick gift.
Stamp set: Funky four
Card: Island indigo, riding hood red, whisper white and dsp - twitterpated
Ink: Different colour pens, love my pens
Acc: Whisper white ribbon
Tools: Scallop edge punch
Wishing you a lovely night and a sunny day tomorrow. We have Mother's Day coming up on Sunday so I need to get a few more projects made......

A Gift For A Friend Having A Baby
Hi,
I know I am not posting as much as normal but I have been really busy making little sets to start up some classes and one day I promise to show you (after the classes) but I just finished making a friend a little set before she goes on maternity leave. She already knows she is having a little baby girl and had a baby shower full of pink and purple (two of Angie's favourite colours) and has been decorating the room in the same colours. So my theme is pink and purple and I thought I would make her some thank you cards so she can give them out straight away. One of my biggest "want to" is giving out "thank you" but I always run out of time. Love the thought, just haven't done it yet! So without further ado, here it is.....
I have made a matchbox style box to hold eight 3" x 3" cards, using the five petal punch to create the flower
Just showing you the box open as the lid tucks behind the trim
Not sure on the cards, one minute I love them and the next I don't but I think I put a lot of thought and effort into them so I'm hoping she likes them!
The whole set I will be giving to her
I know there are some gorgeous origami flowers out there and I have yet to get myself into making them, I even bought a book to get myself started so hopefully soon. But I do love the five petal flower punch and thought I better start to get a little more use out of it. I put a chocolate in the box, can't give a gift without some chocolate, lol
I know you are thinking the box is a bit plain and I have to agree with you which is why I used the flower out of the funky four set. It really dressed it up and unfortunately I don't have a picture of that
I thought I would show you the flowers one more time, at a different angle.
thanks for stopping by and have a lovely day. I am off to make one more teacher appreciation present for the teachers tomorrow so I will try and put that up later tonight.

Teacher Appreciation Gift
Good evening all,
Oh gee time is going too quickly, I didn't get as much done today as I would have liked but I did manage to finish one of the gifts that I would like to give to those special teachers of mine. Teacher appreciation is in a couple of weeks (I would tell you when but I keep forgetting and thinking it is the 8th May, but know it isn't, anyway, I will be prepared!!!!) and I thought I would make a few special treats.
So this is the first one and it is a box that I cased from Sharon Burkert. I absolutely love this box, it is so quick and easy and this time I have put four note cards in there. I thought I might put a small chocolate in there as well (100gr block should fit nicely and if not, more for me to eat!) or I will make some tags if the chocolate doesn't fit.
Here is my box and cards....
Baja breeze with a little pool party thrown in, lol
Rich razelberry and this one has been picked out for my son's teacher
blushing bride
And the three boxes together with one set of cards, ready to go..
Just in case you need another look, I put in a second picture. lol. Not sure what I was thinking but I'll leave it here anyway.
If you would like instructions just let me know or I can do a tutorial as well.
Stamp set: Mixed bunch stamp set
Card: Rich razelberry, baja breeze, blushing bride and very vanilla
Ink: Blushing bride, rich razelberry and pool party
Acc: Brads, non Stampin' Up
Tools: Word window punch, pinking hearts border and (sorry I have misplaced by mini catalogue with the punch name) the new flower punch to go with the mixed bunch stamp set, 3/4" circle punch and paper piercer and mat.
Thanks for stopping by......
