Bookmark In A Card

Good evening,
I have yet another busy day tomorrow and need to post tonight.  Nothing like making a card with a little something extra in it.  I cased this cute card from Flowerbug's Inkspot, I really loved the bookmark coming out of the side, and thought it would be a really useful card to give.

The second picture is of the bookmark coming out of the pocket.  I don't have a sizzix tag, but I am hoping that Stampin! Up might bring one in the next mini or September's new catalogue.  My fingers are crossed.  With this tag I cut 2" x 3" and used the curly square punch to cut the edges and it has come out quite nice, even if I do say so myself.
Stamp set:  Baroque motifs
Card:  Basic black, whisper white, certainly celery, tempting turquoise and dsp - soft subtles
Ink:  Basic black
Acc:  Jewel basic rhinestones, ribbon
Tools:  Big shot, dot to dot, butterfly embosslits and curvy square punch
have a great night/day.....

Butterfly Card Holder

Good evening,
I am not going to get this post on the blog tomorrow as I have so much on, so I thought I would post it tonight.  I love anything 3D and this is no exception.  I cased it from Two Paper Divas and think it is the cutest box.  Sorry I was gardening today and think I got a little heat stroke, so don't worry if I don't happen to make any sense.

I will get the cards made to go with this and post them in the next few days.  I haven't used this stamp set in a long time and it is one of my favourites so I'm glad that I happened upon it.
Stamp set:  Garden whimsy
Card:  Pink pirouette, real red, whisper white and dsp - greenhouse gala
Ink:  Pink pirouette and pumpkin pie
Acc:  Brads, ribbon, Velcro and dimensional

Note Card in a Case

Morning,
As I promised, another case from Becky and she has instructions on her site for this one as well though I will give quick instructions at the end.

Well, how is that for pictures, this is another very easy card to make and give, no, I'm not just saying that.  I haven't used my priceless set for awhile and I forgot how pretty it is.
Cut choc chip card 41/4" x 11", fold in half, then fold down 11/2" from the front.  Or score 11/2" and 51/2".  I actually didn't like how high up the front panel was so I cut 41/4" x 10" and scored 51/2" and 11/2".  The ribbon wraps around so there is no tape holding it together.  If you are worried about the tape falling off then place a little tape on the ribbon at the back of the card.
Hope you like it, have a happy day....

Pinwheel Card

Good morning,
I have seen these pinwheels around on a lot of different blogs but I cased this one from Inking Idaho, love her work.  Becky has a tutorial on her site and her blog is on my side bar.  They are so easy and so much fun to make, actually too much fun, you want to make more.  I should have made one in every colour (from soft subtles for you), next time.
Now this is card adhered to an envelope, love that idea.  So then you put a little note card on the inside so it is just giving a little more.

And here is our note card.  How easy is all that.

And the card going into the envelope.
Stamp set:  Priceless, vintage vogue wheel
Card:  Baja breeze, chocolate chip, dsp - soft subtles
Ink:  Baja breeze, chocolate chip
Acc:  ribbon, rhinestone brad and glue dots
Tools:  Wheel
Tomorrow I have another case from Inking Idaho as well.  Don't you love how organised I am, actually I have to be, now that I am studying.
Have a great day...

Buckle Card

Good morning,
Still trying to wake up here, you know when you have a morning where you think perfect conditions for a sleep in.  But little patter of feet means it is not going to happen.  Yes, that happened to me so I thought I would do my post before I go and get ready for the day.  So two different buckle cards for you today.  I really love the buckle card, so easy and you can do so much with it:

I didn't take the photos quite straight but you get the general idea.  I was going for a vintage feel with this one
Stamp set:  Vintage vogue, very vintage roller
Card:  Always artichoke, cake crumb, chocolate chip and whisper white
Ink:  Chocolate chip, versa mark
Tools:  Lge roller, word window punch, paper piercer.
And now for the second card, completely different look again:

I have also done a close up of the buckle on this one just so you can see the brad and what I did with the ribbon.
Stamp set:  So happy for you
Card:  So saffron, wild wasabi, chocolate chip, dsp - greenhouse gala
Ink:  Chocolate chip
Tools:  Word window punch and paper piercer.
I'll just put up some quick instructions for you.
One piece of card  51/2" x 7"  scored 41/4"  this is your card base.
One piece of card 15/8" x 51/2"  scored 31/2" and round the corners on the longer piece.  If you accidentally round the wrong side, don't worry, it gets tucked under the matting piece inside the card.
One piece of card 4" x 51/4", this is the inside of your card.
Decorate the 23/4" piece of card, this is the card front.  Punch a hole with the word window punch for your buckle to go through.  I stuck my buckle to the inside piece of card and then adhered that to my card and worded out where my buckle opening would go.  I did a little pencil mark and punch the hole.  Push the word window punch in as far as it will go. Decorate the rest of the card.
Have a great day......

Boats Away

Hi everyone,
I have something different tonight and I will be making more and better.  But this is my first attempt and couldn't help myself and need to show you.  I think you have guessed by now that it doesn't worry me that you see my little disasters and of course I wish there weren't any.  So here is my paper boat that could be used as a party favour.  Promise the next one will be filled with more interesting things!!

Even though you think our dsp is thin, when you are making these boats, they are NOT.  Had a little difficulty trying to get it to go the way I wanted.  So mark this as my first attempt.  I will even do a tutorial for it on my next go.  I just think they are such a great "boy thing".
dsp - soft subtles
And that is the only thing used, how amazing, no glue, tape etc, love it....
Have a great night/day.....

Simple Easy Flower Tags

Good morning,
  I made some sweet little tags that are incredibly easy to make.  My son made me one, out of one of his craft books, with a little present and I just had to copy it;

Isn't it lovely!  Cut card 41/2 x 31/2 and score in half to make it 21/4 x 31/2.  Cut a flower pot in the shape you can see and run it through the crimper, adhere to bottom of card.  I drew a stem but there are quite a few stamps that could be used.  I just liked the thought of drawing, for once.  Cut a square 11/2 x 11/2 and scrunch as much as possible.  Place a bit of tape on the card and place your scrunched piece on top.  That is it besides punching a hole at the top and tying some ribbon through.  I'll show you the one my son made for me tomorrow, he is so proud of it.
Card:  Whisper white, marina mist, chocolate chip, pink pirouette
Ink:  Garden green, pink pirouette
Acc:  Ribbon
Tools:  Crop-a-dial.
Have a lovely day....

Criss Cross Photo Album

Hello,   I wanted to do a posting tomorrow morning but it is going to be pretty hectic here so I thought I would put it on this evening.  So here is a gorgeous criss cross photo album/wallet.
The front of the book with a belly band.

Inside the book with room for photos or journalling.

The outside of the book where you can also have photos or journalling.

Could also put more in here.  I am going to be making another one and will fill it up more, to show you.
I will give you some instructions but if you would like me to do a tutorial with lots of pictures, let me know, as I intend to make quite a few of these.  Even for a couple of photos and writing on the other inserts would be a lovely present to give someone.  Sorry I am on the monochrome look at the moment but I was using some of my new dsp, promise the next one will have more colour.
dsp 12" x 12"  score     3", 6", 9" and 11 1/2"......... turn to opposite side and score again 11 1/2"
                       score     3 1/2" and 8 1/2"
Fold in the two 1/2".  Make four triangles on the edges by bringing the point over to the score line, it will not be the full size of the square (like I say, want a tutorial, happy to oblige)
Fold in the two outside flaps,  flattening the fold lines well.
This is the tricky bit - fold in the two ends at the 3" and 6" score lines, inserting each end into the opposite fold.  Flatten out with your hands, if there are crease marks inside, don't worry too much as you won't see them when you put in the photos or journalling.
Now time to decorate.
Truly this is so easy when you have made one
Have a lovely night/day....

Gable Box and Card

Good afternoon,
Busy one today so just a quick post.

A gable box and card.  I punched with the word window through the top as I like that look of having an opening.  I actually got the template from our Stampin' Up site but there are heaps around and I'm sure there would be a template on Splitcoast stampers.  If you would like me to get the template and post it, just let me know and I will work on it.  I love the gable box as it is such a cute little box to give away.
Stamp set:  Great friend and
Card:  Pacific point, baja breeze, dsp-celebration and whisper white
Ink:  Pacific point
Acc:  White gel pen
Tools:  Curly label punch, word window punch and scallop edge punch
Thanks for stopping by, tomorrow I am going to show you this great mini criss cross album
Have a great day....

Friend to Friend Gift Card

Good evening,
Yes it is that time of day and the weekend is nearly over.  Definitely needs to be longer!  Now, I have just been having a laugh at myself as I decided to do a few challenges today and of course just about everything has got in my way.  But I finally managed to sit down and create a gift card for Our Creative Corner except I forgot the correct instructions and instead of making a neutral monochrome card I made a blue one.  That will teach me to read properly.  Anyway, thought I would post this one and try again for the challenge later!

This is the one I was going to put in the challenge and then I did another one as I wasn't sure which I liked more:

I did make a band for it but after I took the photo, go figure!!!
I like these little cards that I got from wildsprinkles.blogspot.com.  I didn't read the instructions or look at the card well but there are directions for you to follow, very easy.
Stamp set:  Vintage vogue, pocket silhouettes
Card:  Marina mist, bashful blue and my very new packet of dsp pattern stack in soft subtles (I think this is
the real reason I blew the challenge, I was dying to use the dsp.  Have been wanting it for so long and
finally got it for myself, love it)
Ink:  Marina mist
Acc:  Lace, buttons
Tools:  Modern label punch, eyelet border punch
Thanks for stopping by and have a great night...

Snip and Tuck Card

Hi all,
I have an easy to make card that I got off the Stampin' Up site and it is so sweet.
3" X 12" piece of cardstock.  Fold in half which creates a 3" x 6" card.  Approx 2" from the open end of the card, center, use a piercing tool to make a hole through both layers.
Use a paper cutter to cut on the angle towards the hole on the front and then do the opposite angle for the back of the card.

A picture so you can see a bit clearer of what to do.  Stamp along the top edge of the card.  Decorate the front of the card, making sure one of the embellishments covers the hole, or at least that part of the cut

Tuck the front flap behind the back flap and the slits will just fit in evenly.  You should be able to see from the top two pictures how to do that.  If not just let me know, and I will do a more detailed description.
I think this card is so easy and so different to make for someone.
Stamp set:  So happy for you
Card:  So saffron, always artichoke, pumpkin pie, whisper white and dsp - greenhouse gala
Ink:  always artichoke
Acc:  Whisper white ribbon, coloured with pens - so saffron
Tools:  Eyelet scallop border punch, scallop circle, 1 3/8" circle and 1 1/4" circle punch
Have a lovely evening...

Happy Days

Hi everyone,
I did another Crafters Anonymous class last night and had so much fun making this card.  Thought I had done it all wrong until the end when it came together.  I am also putting this into Our creative corner as they want some weaving on our item.  Keeping that in mind I made sure I did some weaving on my card, so here it is:
Don't ask me what just happened but my photo went to the top of the page, so let me try and do a side view for you:
Oh, I am having all sorts of computer problems at the moment, very hard for me to upload photos, but I must have had my fingers crossed enough for this one!!
Stamp set:  Apple blossoms
Card:  Concord crush, river rock
Ink:  Concord crush
Acc:  brads
Tools:  Word window punch, crop-a-dial
hope you like it,
Have a great afternoon....
