Sunshine Stampers Meet

Good morning,
  On Monday, a group of us demonstrators met (as we do once a month) and do make 'n takes, gossip, gossip and more gossip.  Love catching up with our group.  I was on the run and didn't have time to stay long but the girls very kindly gave me some make 'n takes to take away (he he).  Well, I finished a couple Wednesday night and thought I would share them with you today.

I hope I have done justice to Peta's card (unfortunately she doesn't have a blog).  I so love the beautiful wings, they are on my wish list that is waiting to be sent.

This is such a cute little Easter box by Sonja. 

And one I spent about four hours on, the Never Ending Card (think that is what it is called, by Suzie.  It was in the Stampin! Up Impressions we receive every month.
Suzi gave us the basic card, which is incredibly easy.  I actually got to it a lot later than the first two make 'n takes, as I knew it would be quite involved (and it was).  I love it, but I think it is a work of art.  Continuous folding over and making sure one layer matches the next.  I hope you like what I have done.
Stamp set:  Garden whimsy (one of my first sets I ever bought)
Card:  Old olive, melon mambo, chocolate chip, whisper white and basic grey
Ink:  Regal rose, rose red, old olive
Tools:  Big shot, dot to dot embossing folder, crop-a-dial, paper piercer and mat.

Male Pizza Box

Good morning,
  Sorry about yesterday.  I thought I had lots of time and realised I didn't which had me rushing my post.  But I made another pizza box.... for the man, this time, with instructions.

1 piece of card (marina mist) 6" x 11"  scored  1" both sides (on 6")
                                                           scored 1", 5", 6" and 10" (on 11")

Cut, score and fold.  Then tape the flaps to the inside of the box, one side will automatically become the lid.  It doesn't really matter which one as they are both the same size.

This is the inside of the box all taped up.

Of course, I have made this one a lot plainer.  I actually like it like this.  I think I can go a bit overboard sometimes, but I do like the plain and simple.
Stamp set:  Sense of time
Card:  Marina mist, basic grey and very vanilla, dsp - newsprint
Ink:  Marina Mist
Acc:  dimensionals
Tools:  1" circle punch

Valentine Pizza Box

Good morning,
  I have just reached 1000 visitors, how exciting.  Amazing what excites us these days.  I wish I had something special for you today but I am going to have to work on that.  Still just getting use to the blogging world!!!!
  Today I have a pizza box, there are so many out there and I love them all.

I am using some of my old cardstock and dsp, I keep finding little stashes of it around and I want to use it up (lol) before I buy more.  I don't know how much longer I can do it, but I am trying.
6" x 11" card  scored (6")  1" each side
                      scored (11")  1", 5". 6" and 10"
I am just going to do the post today, as I am running so late but will fill you in on the details later.

Big Block of Chocolate Gift Box

Good morning,
  Oh yeah, I did it, I did it.  Nothing like chocolate in a box!!!  I will be making heaps of these. 

I used a whole piece of 12" x 12" chocolate chip card (sorry, it was hard to get a full picture of the box as it is the size of a family chocolate block) - should have thought smaller!?!?!???!?!?
Anyway,
Cut 81/2" x 12" choc chip and score  35/8", 42/8", 77/8" and 81/2",  adhere together.
Cut from left over piece 81/4" x 31/2"  (I cut mine, 81/4" as I wanted the inside card just a bit smaller but by all means stay to 81/2" x 31/2".
Place card inside box and punch hole, with crop-a-dial, in middle.  Take out piece of card and turn upside down, lining up the holes.  Pull ribbon through and make sure you have enough ribbon to tie at the top.  I used my last strip of chocolate chip to decorate the front.
Stamp set:  Sense of time
Card:  Chocolate chip, sky blue (sorry, retired) and whisper white
Ink:  Chocolate chip and baja breeze (I was being lazy and didn't go looking for the sky blue - but it does go
         well enough so you don't notice)
Acc:  Ribbon
Tools:  Word window punch, crop-a-dial, big shot and dot to dot embossing folder

Friend To Friend Take Away

Hi,
  Today I am doing another two challenges, Pals Paper Arts and the sweetest thing together.  It is fun using a colour scheme and a sketch.  And I love this box.  I have brought it a couple of times from (wait for it) McDonalds.  Well, this time I made a template.  I did also take a picture of my template and hopefully it comes up clearly as I marked measurements on it as well.
  I thought it would be a cute box for a friend, for Valentines.  Yes, my friends are going to love me!!! 

Once I cut out the template, it was just a matter of adhering all the little triangles to the inside of the box (yes, that simple).  But make sure you use sticky strip, as most boxes I make, I just use tape but it will not stick for this box.  Need the heavy endurance stuff!!!!
Now decorate as desired.

Card:  Riding hood red, rich razzleberry and certainly celery
Ink:  Riding hood red
Acc:  Rhinestone brad
Tools:  Lge flower punch, heart to heart, circle scissors, crop-a-dial, big shot, dot to dot embossing folder

Birthday Gift Card

Morning,
  Yesterday I spent some of the morning with 'The Sunshine Stampers', which is a group of Stampin! Up demonstrators.  We get together every month.  Unfortunately I had other things I had to do and could only stay for a couple of hours (to gossip).  The girls very generously gave me the make 'n takes to do at home so I promise to put those up as soon as I do them.  One was the never ending card, which I had been dying to do and now I will.  SO much to do, so little time.
  Today, though, I wanted to give you the instructions from the gift card holder I made on the 5th February, for a challenge.  Of course, I made another one, a lot plainer, but I need a couple of plain cards for boys.  So here we go:

Card (sleeve)  6" x 4"    scored at 23/4" and 51/2"
Card (insert)   4" x 25/8"
Cut and score card and then place tape on the 1/2" tab and fold together.  Put insert inside the sleeve and using crop-a-dial, punch a hole in the middle (I used the large hole)
Remove the card and turn upside down, with holes matching.  Push ribbon through holes, without cutting ribbon, push insert back down to the bottom of the sleeve.  Cut ribbon and tie a knot.  I like the double tie but one is enough.
There is your gift card, how easy was that!  Now I am going to buy a block of chocolate and make a holder for that.  I once saw one on a blog and thought it looked great, so as soon as I make one I will let you know.  I just have to keep the chocolate long enough to take a picture. 
I shouldn't admit this, but I brought a packet of chocolate eggs today, yes, I know it is too early.  But I thought I would use it for decoration with what I am making for Easter.  No, I can't, all gone!!!!!!!!!!

Bunch Of Flowers Gift Box

Good morning,
  When I did my post yesterday for my Valentine card/box I forgot to leave instructions, so I thought I would make another one:

I was worried about my descriptions of the scoring and cutting, so I quickly cut and scored the two pieces, especially if you are a visual person, like me.

Stamp set:  Retired level two stamp set
Card:  Pretty in pink, riding hood red, cherry cobbler and whisper white
Ink:  Sorry but some of these are retired as well, I actually stamped these flowers from a friends set a little
         while back and have only just got around to using the flowers now!
Tools:  Full heart punch, word window punch, paper piercer and mat
1 piece of 11 3/4" x 3 1/4" card scored 5 1/2" from both sides
1 piece of 6 1/8" x 4 1/2" card scored 3/4", 1 1/2" on three sides making sure one of the long sides is  not scored.  This is the pocket piece.  Cut out the two bottom end squares - it is the four tiny squares (from scoring) that makes up the one big square.(as the photo above)
Place tape along the sides and centre bottom flap (6 1/8" x 4 1/2" piece that we have just scored and cut)
Take sticky off bottom flap and stick to side flaps.  Now take sticky off side flaps and stick to one panel of the (cover) 3 1/4" x 11 3/4", at the end of the card ( you can see what I have done in the photo above).
Decorate as desired.
ps  If you have any problems understanding my instructions, please just let me know. I will do a proper tutorial for it.  I am still on the hunt to see where I put the original instructions.
