Presents From Angie

Hello all,
Well finally on to the gorgeous gifts I got from Angie.  All absolutely beautiful even though they are still sitting in the box I got them in.  I know...... I know...... but I love to walk past and look at them, if I take them out then they end up all over the house.  You'll see what I mean.....
Coffee cup with punch art dog (have I told you I love punch art, mmmmmmm)
I am getting this book out today to start using it, it has the Stampin' Up material covering it, cute hey!!
Better late than never Christmas top note bag
Never get enough of seeing reindeer punch art, love it
Love this box and it was filled with 'Favourites' that we pretty much ate over a cuppa tea.
One cute tag,
And I was going to show you another but my computer doesn't like it and won't input it!!!!!!  I love it
And my stash, that is Angie's couple of things!!!!!
Thanks for stopping by and tomorrow I will start off with Valentines, so see you then.....

Christmas Gingerbread Cutters (better late than never!!!!)

Good evening,
I had the best day today, got lots of cleaning done.  I am trying so hard to throw things out, I am a hoarder and find that very difficult.  I managed to clean up half my study, so now you can actually walk through the door, lol and also tackled the cupboards in the lounge room.  That actually took most of the day as it full of books, toys, my son's school work (lots and lots of papers) and just his general art work.
So there was no craft time for me today but I have the last project I made for Angie and then I will show you what she gave me (well, that is tomorrow, hehe)

I covered some Christmas cutters with letters to Santa dsp (yes, I loved that dsp even though it was more for scrapbooking and I hated using some of those pages but the design on them is so gorgeous).  I used my crop-a-dial to punch a hole at the top and tie some ribbon through.  To stick the paper to the cutters I just used some tombow glue and it worked a treat.
Tomorrow night I will show you Angie's stash she gave me and then I will show you some gorgeous Valentine and Easter projects I have been working on.
Thanks for visiting and have a wonderful night/day.....

Under The Big Top Gift Box

Hi All,
I'm having a bit of a downer day today.  A good friend is moving to Mackay (9 hours north of here) and it will be so sad to see her go.  We spent the day with her family and friends today, on Australia Day, and it will be sad when they leave on the weekend.
On a brighter note I have a little box with a candle inside that was for ........ yes you guessed it Angie.  I have mentioned before about making a box and this one did stump me for a while.  But always remember to measure the top, sides and bottom and if you want flaps or not.  I find it easy to write down the measurements and then draw the open plan for the box to make sure it looks the way I want it to look.  I have made this box in purple of course...

I matted the picture with cake crumb and I coloured in the pictures with watercolour pencils, sponging around the edges.
Stamp set:  Under the big top
Card:  Elegant eggplant, cake crumb and whisper white
Ink:  Basic black and watercolour pencils
Tools:  1" circle punch

Herrringbone Card and Traingle Box

Hello to everyone on this rainy day,
I do love the rain but I think the midges and mosquito's are all coming out and I don't like that much at all, every time I go outside I feel like I am getting bitten by something!!!!
The herringbone card that I loved made in different colours though I didn't have any purple in there!!
And I found this gorgeous triangle box on splitcoast stampers and have been wanting to try it for a while and seeing I love the herringbone so much, I had to make it specially for this box, hehehe
Just a couple of chocolates in there as well!
If anyone would like instructions for the box just let me know, as you guessed it..... it is with a massive amount of paper work!!!!
Stamp set:  Happiest birthday wishes (hostess set)
Card:  Daffodil delight, tangerine tango and lots of various strips of dsp
Ink:  Tangerine tango and chocolate chip
Acc:  Ribbon
Tools:  crop-a-dial, Scallop trim border punch and wide oval punch

Treasure Box Gift

Hi,
Now it is time for another of the gifts I gave to Angie
A treasure chest with a difference and in concord crush, got to stick with the purples!!
Side view using the boho blossom punch and a brad, and making a fake bow for something different.
So leaving the back up meant that I could mat an area for a message or card depending on who you were giving it to.
Yes I cut out the leaves and flowers from the paisley petals but it did need a bit of bling as well.
I thought I would just pop this picture in, even though I showed you the box yesterday.  I must have thought it was a good match and took a photo of them together.  Just in case you were wondering I filled it with cake mix so Angie can make some patty cakes (forgot to take a picture of that, sorry).
Okay I better go and do some baking.  First day back at school and I didn't take any of my favourite teachers in a present (all previous teachers, I figure they have my son for a whole year of his life so I like to show them I appreciate what they have done).
thanks for stopping by..........

Easter Candle and Gift Box, The Perfect Fit!

Hello to everyone on this lovely rainy day,
Well I looked through my camera and I did not take a photo of the box I gave to Angie so on to the next thing.....
So I stamped images on a candle (which I love and it is so easy - I actually printed a couple of photos onto tissue paper and put those on the candle for my parents 50th wedding anniversary.  Yes 50 years and I think happier than they have ever been, definately more like one person anyway).  And the box is one that I made a template for, it is quite a bit bigger than using the milk carton die.  I am using it in my Valentine class (picture shown last week).
So on to this candle, it is so so easy.  Stamp your image on to tissue paper.  I stamped it just the way you see it.  Then put it on your candle and place wax paper over it (I used baking paper as it is always in my cupboard for making biscuits).  Then making sure your fingers are not in the way and using the heat gun gently melt the image on.  I have to make heaps more of these, so much fun and look how cute it looks.
Of course I had to use purple for Angie and lucky for me I bought the everybunny stamp set, which I love and will be using a lot leading up to Easter.
thanks for stopping by.......

Go The Angry Bin

Oh, what to post, I finally caught up with Angie (and even though a couple of my things got damaged in the travel) I can finally show you what I have been working on.  My camera has gone flat and I am hoping I can show you a picture of the box of goodies I gave to Angie but can't guarantee it until I recharge my batteries.  But I will start off with this rubbish bin.  As soon as I saw it, I thought of Angie and had to get it.  My son said it is for putting colouring-ins into it but I can see many more possibilities, just endless.  So seeing I am on the theme of Angry birds, I had to also share that with Angie......

The container does seem pretty plain but I like it that way, just hope Angie does too!!!!!
Call back tomorrow for part two and some instructions.
have a lovely evening/day.....

Would love to show you but that would give it all away.  So if you are interested send me an e-mail.

Fun With Some Friends

Good evening,
Today was spent with some Stampin' Up Demonstrators having fun crafting, eating and talking.  Three of the most fun things to do!!!!  Well, we certainly had the best time.  My card was a Angry Bird 3" x 3" and because I didn't post yesterday I will show you what the other girls had us make as well.  I cased my card from Melissa Stout......
Melissa has all the punches on her site but just quickly
Ornament punch       -    body
1" punch                   -     stomach
2 step owl punch      -      eyes
cupcake punch         -     eyebrows
heart to heart            -     beak
I also used the big shot and strip embossing folder for the fence.  The scallop edge punch for the grass and hand cut the clouds out of scraps of white

School books ready for school, well, there is a lot more than this but didn't want to show them all to you.
Now on to the cards we made today....
 Sonja's card
 Robyn's tag
And lastly Tracey's card, a nice male card, I need to get in and make more of these.
Thanks for stopping by and have a lovely evening.....

Check Out This Big Green Tree Frog....

Hi,
Monday has come and gone and that is the last one for the school holidays.  All back to rushing around madly next week, something to look forward to.....  I have been creating lots and I will show you it all soon, I have been making it for that special friend and I can't show you before I show her so hopefully next week.  So today I am showing you a frog.  I have been meaning to show you this for a while.  He was huge, the size of my hand, I wish I had of put it up against him, so you could see.  My sister was over and I was walking her outside when we saw this green tree frog on the outside wall of my house.  I get lots of small ones as I love bromileades but this one was big.  How gorgeous is he, maybe I should have kissed him to see if he would turn into a prince, lol.
Promise I will have a couple of posts tomorrow.  I was looking for a box I made a while ago and I must have deleted the picture so I am sorry about that.

Special Fold Valentine Card

Good afternoon,
I just finished having a live chat on UStamp with Dawn and Cara hosted, who was so lovely.  So much fun and I met another NZ, Samantha (sorry Sam, forgot your last name :) ).  This is why I love the craft blogging world, everyone is so lovely.  Anyway on to my second part of my set, oh, what to show you next......
Keeping with the same colour scheme.  This card is really cool and so different.

You are going to think this is so typical of me that I have misplaced my instructions but I did.  I will be back to tell you where to get it from.  Splitcoast Stampers have a double dutch card which is very similar.  Sorry I thought I wrote down the instructions but I must have made it straight from the computer.  I will be back!
have a lovely afternoon.....

Afternoon all,
I am showing you one of my all time favourite (well, for now, that is) cards.  I was on stampin pretty the other night (yes, that is where I found my gift card) and she had done this herringbone card that I fell in love with and just had to make.  Just wait until you see all the different things I have now made using the herringbone technique.  In my element at the moment, but I will be showing them to you in between the Valentine products.  So now onto our card, you are going to love it!!!!
How cool is this card?  And you can use all your scraps, mine were measured at 3/8".  Mary directs you to a tutorial which is really easy.

Card:  Whisper white, tempting turquoise, old olive and a bunch of retired dsp
Ink:  Island indigo
Acc;  Retired kiwi kiss ribbon
Tools:  scallop border punch
Like I said, I will be showing you more over the coming weeks.
