Liebster Blog Award

Liebster Blog Award

What a lovely surprise when I went on Angie's blog and saw that she had named me as one of her friends to visit to receive the Liebster blog award.  I felt very privileged that she thought of me but that is just who Angie is (very sweet).

"What is a Liebster Blog Award?", well "Liebster" is German for "Dearest". The award is a "Share the love arrangement", given to inspirational bloggers with less than 200 followers, to bring attention to their blog, and increase their following! I have to pick 5 more recipients whose blogs I think you would enjoy. Pop over to see what they've done...and become a Follower.

Here's the to do list for any of the Liebster Blog Award recipients.

1. Show your thanks to the blogger who gave you the award.
(Thanks again Angie)

2. Link back to the blogger who presented you the award.
(Find Angie here)

3. Copy and paste the award on your blog.
(See the pretty award on my sidebar!)

4. Present the Award to 5 other deserving bloggers with less than 200 followers.
(Read below)

5. Let them know they have been chosen by leaving a comment on their blog.
(I suggest you visit their sites - you're going to love their blogs)

So here are my picks and I hope you get as much inspiration from them as I do:

So pop on over to these lovely ladies blogs and check out what they have been up to recently. Don't forget to leave them a message.

Thank you again Angie for your award, you are too good.

Sweet Easter Bag Tutorial

Hi,
We are on holidays here for two weeks and it has been the nicest time.  Sleeping in, lots of cuddle time and then into the cleaning, though today is all about friends so that gives me some of my time.  And I have quite a few Easter things still to show you so I better get going.  Here is a little bag that is so sweet and I am pretty sure that I have cased it from Chic 'n Scratch and of course she has tutorials on everything she makes but I have just done up a quick one...
 Dsp or Whisper White card 8" x 5 1/2"  scored at 2" on 3 sides - 2 long sides and 1 short.
Pink card or Dsp 4 1/8" x 3 1/8" - put through scallop punch on both sides and score in half.
Attach the bottom of box together first - placing one flap over another.
Place adhesive on flaps and sides to adhere together to make bag/box
Another picture showing the sides being put together
Bend the sides up to create above look
Put scallop edge card on top and adhere one side down
Tie ribbon around to keep in place or use some other method if you like
 Decorate as desired.  Front view
 Side view
.
Back view
How easy is that to make and you have enough room to fit chocolates or a little present in.
Stamp set:  Everybunny
Card:  Whisper white, pink pirouette
Ink:  Pretty in pink, chocolate chip and water crayons
Acc:  Whisper white ribbon and twine
Tools:  Scallop eyelet border punch, small oval and lge oval punches and crop-a-dial

Cute Little bunny Basket

Good afternoon,
Yes I am posting in the afternoon, I have managed to get home early enough today to do an early post.  My son and I cased this basket from Chris Twing (I can't find the exact link to the project but I'm sure you will have fun looking).
This is such a great size basket as it holds a nice amount of eggs inside.
Side view so you can see exactly how big that box is...... very roomy!
And this one is my sons.  He wanted to do lots of different things on it, the sun and a baby rabbit, cute!
Basket:
Cut 2 circles 4 3/8" using the circle scissors
1 piece 6 1/2" x 7 1/2"
1 piece 1" x 8"
Lay circles on paper trimmer or if you are lucky enough to have the SU scoring tool (yes, I am lucky enough to have one, love it) at 3 1/2"
Score 6 1/2" x 7 1/2" at 2 1/2" from each side (7 1/2")
                                   at 1 1/2" from each side (6 1/2")
Cut middle lines to score lines to make box, fold and tape together.
Run strip of card through crimper and attach to box with adhesive.  Box finished
Now for the rabbit;
Body - 1 3/8" whisper white or other applicable colour
Head - 1 1/4" glued to body
Ears - 2 small ovals and I used 1/2" circle for the tail
Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful day.......

Teacher Easter Gifts

Hi,
Finally got to do my post as I listen to that lovely rain.  I know we are saturated but I still love the sound of it.  Now on to today's post.  As you all know we have chickens that lay beautifully.  Love free range eggs, nothing like it.  Well for some special teachers I made up these boxes and put in the eggs.  Now these egg cartons are perfect and come from Big W, of course I had to eat the chocolates in them as they are sooooo good.  I still have to make some melting moments for them but this is just the start.
Not completely happy with the colours but they looked better together before I wrapped them around the boxes!!
All finished and ready to go!
Stamp set:  Every bunny
Card:  Retired card and dsp, whisper white
Ink:  Pens in different colours and watercolour crayons
Acc:  Ribbon
Tools:  Paper piercer and mat, 1 3/8" scallop circle punch and scallop circle punch.
Thanks for stopping by..........

A Bunny Or Not A Bunny, That Is The Question??

Hello,
I don't know what to post today.  Oh I just remembered, I told a friend that I would show her what my son and I made the other day, Easter, he was getting all upset because he couldn't get it perfect.  Truly you will not be able to tell which one he made but he went off to his room crying.  When he calmed down he came back out to finish it off, I think I have a perfectionist on my hands!!! Ohhh I don't think that is very good with craft, as I don't think anything can be perfect and how often do you look at something and think you could have done better!  Anyway here is what we made.... Umm, just give me a sec, it is still on my camera!!
This is his that he didn't like, I think it is so sweet.....
This is another one he did and one I did, both those are down the bottom.  (He actually didn't like the whiskers!!)
This is the backs of them which we did a bit differently.  I have previously made these bunnies here.  Sorry, I just went looking for it and couldn't find my post so I will put it up as soon as I find it.
And the little chicks were made here with the directions for the boxes.
Card:  Chocolate chip, pretty in pink, whisper white and basic black.
Ink:  Journal pen
Tools:  1 3/4" circle, lge oval, sml oval, 1/2" circle, 1 1/4" oval and, eyes and nose are from 2 step owl punch.
thanks for stopping by and have a lovely day....

Panda Punch Art Box

Evening all,
I almost went to be without posting but jumped straight back out.  I think I have missed enough time lately and I am trying to make up for it.  My son has been sick all week so I have had a chance to get a bit done and some craft too, so happy.
Anyway on to our Panda which I cased from Beth yet again.  Love her work, truly there are too many brilliant people out there in blogging world.....
Okay, he mightn't look the best on very vanilla, but I was a bit worried about using black and that different parts of him wouldn't stand out.  And I used very vanilla because I was worried about not standing out on the white as well, ummmmmmm, gotta try these things!!
How is out there Panda, was trying to do something different with his eyes but he does look a bit..... ummmm, out there!
So my box and card ready to go, don't worry they do look better in reality and at least you will know what not to do.
Once again Beth has instructions on her blog.  Tomorrow I will be back to normal and writing as many instructions as possible for you.
Thanks for stopping by.........

Another Gift From A Friend

Another rainy day here for us, lots of those these days!!  I am going to show you another little gift that I received from Angie the other day, so cute.  I have made a bigger one on the blog but I will be making this smaller version, it is just gorgeous.

The two tags that went in one each side, love them both
Oh, this was the card that I showed you yesterday.  This is why I love craft so much....
tomorrow I am going to show you a panda punch art, which is really sweet.  I'm off to do a little more crafting, still got a sick boy at home so I have been getting a bit done, gotta love that too....
